Stacks 6 small blocks (interested in stacking many so they won’t fall)

Situations for Observation of Skill

During play time have small blocks.

Elicitation Strategy

Set out the blocks and observe the child’s play. If the child does not automatically build a tower, ask, “How high can you stack those.” The adult can make a tower to demonstrate, as well.

Behavior Observed

The child will stack 6 blocks.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Children have better fine motor skills now and like to challenge themselves to do what they see others do.
