Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the child on a rocking toy.

Elicitation Strategy

No elicitation needed.

Behavior Observed

The child leans forward and back to make the toy rock. He maintains balance and does not fall off.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to take children to community facilities (parks, penny horse in the grocery, etc.) to enable them to feel engaged with equipment that goes forward and backward and provides vestibular stimulation.
