The child plays next to and also interacts with others during play. May have conflicts over toys.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

The child at this age recognizes those that are like her in size and preferences for play. She seeks out these children. Encourage parents to organize play dates with peers of the same age to encourage the child to learn to play with others.
