Play with blocks.
Tell the child you need “many” blocks to build your tower.
The child gives the adult more than 3 items.
Encourage early childhood educators and parents to use a variety of terms to refer to number (i.e. “a few,” “many,” and “some”) as well as the count numbers 1, 2, 3, etc.
