Elicitation Strategy

Play catch and kick ball with the monkeys.

Behavior Observed

The child can catch a large ball. Her arms are still in front of the body, but slightly bent to be able to pull the ball into the body.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Running, jumping, climbing, and playing ball typically occurs outdoors, but that is not always an option. Early childhood educators and parents can also provide indoor opportunities for motor activities.
