Interview the adult about mealtime. Observe the child at lunch or during a snack or meal with a variety of different items.

Elicitation Strategy

Ask the parent about what the child eats when eating with the whole family.

Behavior Observed

The child enjoys eating with the family.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Children feel more a part of the family when they share the same activities, eat the same food, and use the same utensils.
