Observe the child when his nose needs blowing or interview the parent.
Ask the adult about the child’s ability to blow his own nose or observe the child’s ability to clean his nose when asked.
The child shows awareness of need to continue to blow or to wipe the nose after blowing.
Children can take care of basic needs when early childhood educators and parents give them the responsibility.
