Situations for Observation of Skill

When asked, the child puts clothing in the right drawer.

Elicitation Strategy

Ask the child to help put his folded clean clothing away.

Behavior Observed

The child knows where his own clothing goes in his own dresser and places them in the drawer.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Parents should involve children in all family activities from morning to night. Children learn to categorize and use fine motor skills when they do specific actions with materials from their home.
