Observe the adult and child reading a new story with a variety of unusual actions, such as Olivia Saves the Circus.
Examine the pictures and let the child comment and ask questions.
The child asks questions to obtain information.
Children begin to ask about actions. Early childhood educators and parents can encourage children to label the actions and try them out. Children better remember words that they have experienced in some way.
