Observe the child during daily activities or interview the adult.
During the classroom day, observe care of runny noses.
The child seeks a tissue and cares for runny nose issues independently.
Children can do many classroom and home routines to build self-care skills. For example, children in the classroom can demonstrate or help each other do tasks, such as setting up for snack or lunch, cleaning up after activities, preparing for centers, and grooming after recess or naps.
