Situations for Observation of Skill

This is best observed in the classroom. Use the existing dramatic play materials in the dramatic play area.

Elicitation Strategy

No elicitation needed.

Behavior Observed

The child will add to actions of others and the actions will evolve with no particular joint goal.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Associative play among peers is important at this time. Children learn to negotiate, plan, organize, lead, follow, and problem solve. Dramatic play should be part of every classroom, with changing themes to promote creativity and imagination, rather than repetition.
