Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the child in peer discussions throughout the day.

Elicitation Strategy

Ask the child about what she thinks her parent, sister, or friend would like for lunch, their birthday, etc.

Behavior Observed

The child talks about what different people he knows like or dislike.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Provide opportunities for children to share opinions about a variety of topics, including activities, lunches, books, etc.
