Observe the children engaged in dramatic play in the classroom.
No elicitation is needed.
The child will demonstrate cooperative play, with children deciding jointly on a plan for the play actions. The child will use dialogue in character as part of dramatization.
Children will often recreate dramatic play at school when at home. They will also create new narratives. Encourage parents to let their child have frequent play dates, and provide the “stuff” for creating play productions.
