Observe children in interaction in non-directed activities, such as during playtime, on the playground, or during lunch.
No elicitation needed.
Children at this level will discuss a variety of topics, from family to activities, to events. Watch children plan activities together. They combine their ideas to make complex ideas come to life.
Help early childhood educators and parents understand the importance of open conversations on all topics of interest to the child. Simple answers are all that are desired or needed. The child’s curiosity needs to be supported. Find answers together if needed.
