Observe the child being dressed.
No elicitation may be needed.
Many infants do not like to wear things on their feet and spontaneously pull them off.
Early childhood educators and parents can help children learn independence by involving them in dressing and undressing. Use the reverse chaining approach, meaning let the child do the last step. For example, start pulling the sock off and let the child finish.
