Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)
Encourage early childhood educators and parents to share photos or look in the mirror next to the child and ask, “Who’s that?” They can then point to themselves and say, “Mama.” “Rachel” (pointing to the child). Naming familiar people is important for learning to recognize and later use names.
