Behavior Observed

The child uses words to comment, make commands, and assert power. “No” is a new power word.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Most early childhood educators and parents understanding the child’s communication intentions through context, intonation, and gestures. Some adults may need assistance in reading these cues.
