Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the child in dramatic play related to daily routines.

Elicitation Strategy

Provide the basic elements for a specific activity, leaving out some essential props (e.g., provide a plate but no utensils).

Behavior Observed

The child knows what is needed for specific routines or events and seeks the needed objects.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to provide common materials within daily routines.
