2-4 Months
Supine: Rolls from back to side and shortly after rolls to stomach
Prone: Lifts and maintains head 90°
Prone: May extend legs and raise hips

Supine: Head held in midline and symmetrical

Supine: May lift head and shoulders
Prone: Increased head, hip and trunk control allows twisting and turning in all directions
Prone: Bears weight on extended arms, may push backward

Prone: Uses arms and legs to pivot
Prone: Controlled reaching with weight on one arm

Prone: Moves from hands and knees to sit
May use a modified hands-and-knees position, with one foot and one knee on the ground
Prone: Reaches from hands and knees position

Prone: Crawls to explore environment
