Elicitation Strategy

Play music, sing, and move your body to the music.

See if the baby moves and starts to make noise too.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Reinforce the importance of singing and talking to the baby. Rocking, slow dancing, and bouncing together is also important. All bring the infant and adults into close contact and communication, enhancing attachment and communication. Movement and singing also lay the foundation for music appreciation later on.
