Role plays family routines

Observe the child with the parent and peers. Have play props and real household materials for pretend household play.

Behavior Observed

The child acts out cooking, taking care of the baby and other daily routines.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Explain that the child is learning new roles and wants an opportunity to practice them. Role-play allows the child to practice family routines.
