Observe the child when pulling pants down for toileting or when removing clothes.
No elicitation needed.
The child has the strength and bilateral skills to hold the pants and push them down from both sides.
Many parents do all the bathing of the child. Encourage parents to let the child do as much as she can by herself, including washing and drying her own body. Pajamas are lightweight and typically easier to put on and off. Have child dress herself after her nightly bath.
