The child sits on the floor and pulls on the pants, but often gets both feet in one leg. She can’t stand and pull them up.
Parents can help children learn dressing skills by laying the clothing out in a sequence. With each piece discuss, “What do you do first?” Reinforce each effort and move to the next step.
