Observe the child sharing music she remembers.

Elicitation Strategy

The adult can ask the child to teach them how to do a song or dance she likes.

Behavior Observed

The child demonstrates the words and actions to accompany the song.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Early childhood educators and parents can ask children to teach them how to dance to the music. Children love to be the “teacher.” If the child has learned something new at school, this is a great opportunity for the parent to become the student.
