Observe the child during play and daily routines.
No elicitation needed.
The child carries on conversations using correct word order and appropriate use of pronouns.
Opportunities to talk about their experiences with peers are important. Give children time to talk to each other and support conversation by joining the conversation if needed. Encourage parents to arrange play dates with preferred peers.
