Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the infant when a familiar adult and an unfamiliar adult are talking within the infant’s line of vision.

Elicitation Strategy

No elicitation needed.

Behavior Observed

The infant stares at the unfamiliar adult and watches his mouth and eyes. The glance may go from the unfamiliar adult to the familiar adult as well.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

The infant is learning both visual and auditory differentiation of people.
