Observe the child during daily activities.
No elicitation needed.
The child is motivated to move and explore the environment by sitting, standing, crawling. She can transition from one movement pattern to another independently.
Encourage parents to involve the child in daily activities in each room of the house. Place interesting objects or materials associated with that room in a place the child can access. Talk to the child about the objects and demonstrate their functions. This will increase motivation to use them.
