As the child is standing independently, begin to play a rhythmic song.

Behavior Observed

The infant spontaneously begins to move to the rhythm.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage playing music in the home and moving and dancing to the beat. This will help infant’s develop an appreciation for how music can be fun.
