Observe the child dressing and undressing when going outside and coming back in.
Let the child attempt to put on and take off his own coat.
The child cannot put on his coat, but pushes it off the shoulders to help take it off.
Provide baby dolls for children to dress for practice. Add older siblings or adult’s shoes, hats, etc. in dramatic play for children to try to put on.
