Engages in “music babble” as he sings and dances

Situations for Observation of Skill

Play music and everyone dance!

Elicitation Strategy

No elicitation needed.

Behavior Observed

Children may produce “music babble” or sounds that sound like singing words to a song, but they don’t make sense. The child knows there are words set to music, so this is his representation of the song.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to sing in the car, in the tub, and during play time. Children will dance whenever there is happy music, so find time for dance as well.
