Behavior Observed

The child will experiment with one or two blocks, then drop them and try new blocks. He will hold them, look at them, bang them together, bang them on the floor, or drop them. Experiments reveal that they all do the same thing!

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to have blocks for their children. They are a basic foundation for learning math skills, spatial understanding, and fine motor coordination. Blocks can also be made from small individual boxes. They don’t have to be fancy, just tape them closed.
