Shares toys with family, friends, and siblings

Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the child in play interactions with family members, friends, siblings, and/or familiar peers.

Elicitation Strategy

No elicitation needed.

Behavior Observed

The child happily plays with all familiar people, showing toys, sharing, and playing. The child is more hesitant around strangers, but warms to them when she sees others accepting the person.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to include a variety of people in the child’s life. Exposure to others helps the child develop awareness of differences and tolerance for others.
