Once pants are over bottom, pushes pants off in sitting

Situations for Observation of Skill

Observe the child when clothes are being changed.

Elicitation Strategy

Encourage the adult to let the child help pull the pants down, once started.

Behavior Observed

Once the pants are down over the child’s bottom, he continues to push them down, then sits to pull them off.

Routines-based Intervention (Embedded Instruction)

Encourage parents to purchase pants with elastic waistbands. They are easier for the child to manipulate.
